CRNA STAFF

The Certified Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) staff at Cook County play a vital role in all areas of clinical care.  During weekdays, Trauma Anesthesia is covered by a CRNA and attending anesthesiologist.  CRNAs attend and participate in Thursday morning conferences.

CRNA students from Rush Medical University with whom the department maintains an affiliation with spend two months at a time rotating at Cook County as part of their training.  Student CRNAs are assigned to a variety of challenging cases during this time.  Over the past several years, new hires have been student CRNAs who have rotated here and wished to come on board.
